Recovering from an eating disorder and other addictive behaviours is hard work, especially when you’re on your own and feel like you have no one to lean on.
The Creative Recovery Accelerator™ will support and guide you through ten key components that are essential to your recovery. As you learn to reduce and stop the self harm, and let go of your suffering, you will discover your longed for internal balance and harmony with life.
One of a Kind
Eating Disorder Recovery Course
They reinforce the idea of separation and disconnection.
They pretend to be your greatest allay, especially during challenging times.
They will literally “fight to your death,” in the name of protection.
ED/addictive behaviours thrive on obsession, perfectionism, anxiety, not feeling good enough, shame, guilt… the list is endless.
And they love a good story, the more drama the better. Their function is to distract you from the feelings you are trying to avoid.
These behaviours are about being, “out there” because “in here” is too painful. Once you have diabolised your relationship with food and your body the ED or addiction will work with whatever story you choose.
Eating disorders and addictive behaviours are HARD work.
Our ED and addictive behaviours can be viewed as symptoms or physical manifestations of trauma.
Eating disorders have nothing to do with food (some neurodivergent individuals might avoid food for sensory issues).
Your ED/addictive behaviours will offer you the gift of eternal friendship “in it together, forever” they sigh, and then with their sunniest smile - destroy you.
GUESS WHAT…
I was once where you are right now. I was a sensitive and anxious kid, yet strangely confident. Throughout childhood I developed rituals to deal with anxiety.
During teenage years I converted my obsessions onto my body and food. This combination formed a perfect canvas upon which to work out my distress. I spent my 20s and 30’s denying the truth and living a dual existence fuelled by shame and secrecy.
Thankfully, I fell apart. What a relief! My recovery began.
I had some great support and some not so great. I built resilience and learnt new ways to live.
I channeled my energy, creatively and finally, I got it. I understood that this energetic life force used in the right ways would set me free.
Those who have been before have passed the techniques described in the CRA™ onto me. It is my greatest pleasure to pass them onto you – may we all be at peace and free from suffering.
"Jemma and Love This Food Thing has been the most incredible find for me as someone who has had a complex relationship with food for over 20 years. Jemma looks beyond the eating disorder labels that are attached to people through diagnosis and instead explores the person and the very individual life journey they have experienced and how it contributes to their relationship with food and themselves". - Prue

Recovery isn’t a destination.
It’s a process.
Your story isn’t the truth.
It’s very much of a work of fiction.
And you get to rewrite your story
at any time.
You’re in the right place!
Talking about my adventures and struggles of life with a stoma and ulcerative colitis was a therapeutic yet fun experience. Jemma is a class act, whilst asking very interesting questions. - Christian
